ip21 is a leading IP law firm offering advice on Patents, Trade Marks and many other intellectual property services.
Bigfork were appointed as the web agency to design a new website that positioned ip21 as an expert in the intellectual property services sector and would support their marketing activity.
Bigfork worked with ip21 to come up with a structure that would be easy to navigate, make important content easily accessible, and use clear calls to action to generate enquiries.
As well as website design and content updates, the website received a long-overdue responsive layout and user-friendly content management system so that it could be maintained in-house by ip21.
Our website design process always begins with a plan, the two most important areas of planning for ip21 were competitor analysis and content planning.
We worked through several approaches alongside the client to come up with the right website design to complement the ip21 brand, have impact, differentiate them from the competition, and be on-message.
The most important area of the site was the services that ip21 offer. The previous website had these hidden away, with dated content that was hard to understand. Our new design bought them to the forefront of the website with a clear layout to help users find their area of interest.
One of our other findings in the content planning stage was that it was too hard for people to find contact information. Customers typically wanted to make a general enquiry, so needed to know where the nearest ip21 office was. Or they were looking to find details for someone they'd previously dealt with.
Our solution to this was to make the team and contact pages visual and easy to digest. This approach also does a great job of showing off ip21's locations and credentials to demonstrate credibility to new and existing clients.
To save people a click, we made sure contact details and links are readily available throughout the website, and service pages also included a short enquiry form to make it even easier.
The end result is a great looking new website that’s easy for ip21 to update and has increased user engagement and most importantly, enquiries.
